Welcome to SILC!
We are a friendly and active bunch of international women who live (mostly) in the district of Samutprakarn, which is located in the south-eastern suburbs of Bangkok.
We get together for coffee mornings, fitness classes, playgroups and to run local welfare projects. We organise outings to explore Bangkok and Thai culture together. For many of us, SILC has been our life-line when starting out in this wonderful but sometimes impersonal city. SILC is here to help you find your feet, make new friends, get support and (should you wish) become involved in the local community. We are a non-profit organisation run by a committee drawn from our membership.

Our members include those with young children, older children, no children and singles, spanning an age range of 20's to 70's. Members' interests vary from mahjong to netball, shopping to aqua-aerobics, helping support our sponsored pre-schools or simply playing with the kids. We can safely say that there is something for everyone!

Read the interesting story about how SILC first started nearly 20 years ago! SILC continues to thrive and we are proud of what it has become today.

We warmly welcome new members and encourage you to contact us!
